The technology behind our insoles
At Nibo, we believe that good footwear starts with what you can’t see: the insole. It’s the part that accompanies every step, providing support, cushioning, and all-day comfort. That’s why we devote special attention to its design and to the materials we use to make it.
Our insoles are made from medical-grade SBS, a next-generation thermoplastic rubber known for its exceptional dermatological tolerance. Unlike other synthetic materials, medical-grade SBS is hypoallergenic, meaning it won’t cause irritation or reactions, even on sensitive skin. This is especially important for a product that stays in direct contact with the foot for hours at a time.
One of the most valued characteristics of this material is its structural stability. While many traditional insoles deform with use and lose their original support, Nibo insoles maintain their shape throughout their entire lifespan. The result is a more stable stride, greater comfort, and footwear that adapts to you without wearing down.
Although medical-grade SBS is not breathable on its own, our insoles are. How do we achieve this? The key lies in the technical microfiber lining that covers the surface. This fabric provides the breathability and absorption needed to keep your feet cooler and drier, even on long days. The technical microfiber manages moisture efficiently, improving hygiene and thermal comfort inside the shoe.
At Nibo, every material and every design decision has a purpose. We choose medical-grade SBS and technical microfiber because together they create a healthy, durable, and comfortable insole—perfectly aligned with our philosophy of crafting footwear that enhances your everyday life from the inside out.
